A cold wintery morning standing on North Pier.

I was hoping for the sun to rise to brighten up the scene ... it didn't, it rose without even peaking through the clouds, there was brief glimpse of some colour but it didn't last long.

This is more of a benchmark shot for the location and I wanted to give my new Lee Big Stopper a trip out, I will be back to improve on this! :)

Fantastic. Is that 480 seconds of exposure?

What a wonderful image, I love the simple and very effective composition especially the mearest hint of that object out on the right.

I love using the BigStopper and whip out at every opportunity I can! Is this North Pier, IoM? If so, I have been meaning to go for ages and you may well secure it for me!

Thanks for the kind words George, I too love my Big Stopper and locations like this are ideal for it, especially when its a bit overcast! This is North Pier in Amble, Northumberland [link] , does IoM mean Isle of Man? :) The object out on the right is a small island with a lighthouse called Coquet Island.

Had a good look through your gallery, you've got some great stuff in there, looking forward to seeing more!

Looking at the quality of your work that really means a lot to me, thank you very much indeed.

I did a quick search in Google Maps and it came up with North Pier, Isle of Man! I am heading up to Northumberland in August, so your shots will certainly give me some pointers on places to look out for.
